I struggle with this problematic phrase.

This implies that God is only a part of you.

Why are we saying God is just a part of us when He is the one who makes us whole?

God is not a part of you if He made you.

He helps make up the essence of who you are.

He is the one that gives you purpose He is the one that makes you, you!

John 1:3,8 (NASB)

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.

As if you give God power and purpose. As if you’re the creator of your own mine and body.

2 Timothy 3:5 (NLT)

"They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"

Don’t compare yourself to people who deceive you into thinking you are not a true follower of Jesus.

Don’t worry about your outward appearance towards Christians. Just because you aren’t seen with your bible in your hand all the time does not mean you are not a true follower of Jesus.

Just because you don’t have an instagram account where you post bible verses all of the time does not mean you are a true follower of Jesus.

Just because people look like they follow God does not mean they have an actual relationship with Him.

Allow God to give you the discernment to discover who are false Christians in order to avoid false teachings. But don’t judge them, instead show them grace and who God truly is.

Lastly, don’t let comparison be your folly and don’t get caught up in pride.
